| On Tues 3rd Sept Bro. Gary Smith from Bebington was advanced into Temperance Mark lodge 774. The lodge, which has been struggling, was delighted to welcome their second candidate in 12 months. The ceremony was carried out with the Prov GJW, W. Bro Peter Hegarty as WM for the first part, and W. Bro Giles Berkley Prov GSW in the chair for the quarries and signs. RW Bro. Peter Connolly acted as SD. | |

| The PGM was pleased to be accompanied by W. Bro David Emmerson Prov GDC, Steve Clark, Dep Swd B and other acting prov officers as indicated in the photograph. Being a builder Bro. Gary Smith particularily appreciated the ceremony. With great foresight he told the PGM (as SD) that he should be on a higher rate than him, when he saw (outside the lodge) the stone he was to carry!!! | |

| Bro. Owen Gargan their previous advancee, was IG having only seen his own ceremony. A friendly and relaxed dinner followed. In his response the PGM thanked all the visitors incl W. Bro Jimmy Rogers from the Fylde, W.Bro Jimmy Kontzle from Liverpool, and the Prov Officers, esp.the Wardens for their exemplaty work.. | |
